I have questions about the Orthodox, Anglican, and Catholic Churches, I personally am a Messianic Jew, and obviously you can guess that I have a disagreement with the Orthodox, Anglican, and Catholic Churches on Christian theology. May it be known that I am not writing this to offend anyone in any way; however I am writing this message to clarify the differences between the messianic faith, and the Orthodox, Catholic, and Anglican faith’s. But my question is, if they so stress that the orthodox, Catholic, and Anglican churches ARE the church, Why then do they not keep a Saturday Shabbat (Sabbath)? This has been kept on record by the Hebrew bloodline for 4,000 years. Also, if you so wish to stress the keeping of apostolic succession, which is an oral doctrine, why then, did Yeshua (Jesus) come and stress the lack of value in an oral doctrine so kept by the Pharisees at the time (Matthew 12:11, Matthew 15:1-10, Mark 2:23-27)? Sha'ul (Paul) also stressed that it was not through oral doctrine's, or tradition that one is saved, but rather through an internal salvation that is brought about through Yeshua Hamashiach (Jesus Christ)(Romans 2:17-29) . Also, why doesn't the Orthodox, Anglican and Catholic Churches keep the feasts of Yahweh? Which he (Yahweh) so strictly stressed were never to be broken (Ex. 12:14). Also, why do the Catholic, Anglican, and Orthodox churches celebrate Christmas, and Easter, when it’s never mentioned in the bible to do so? Yahweh stressed never to have a feast that he did not authorize (Deuteronomy 12:29-32), so why then are Christmas and Easter celebrated? I personally don't think these affect salvation; however it’s something I’ve always questioned. Don't tell me that they are justified in the fact they are dedicated to Yeshua, because I've heard many bible scholars personally stress this to me, and it simply doesn't add up. We use the Shabbat and feast days to commemorate Yeshua. Why do the Anglican, Catholic, and Orthodox Churches practice in Confession when Isaiah 52-53 so stress that the servant (the messiah) will be the final atonement for the sin of the world, Yeshua was supposed to be the global rabbi, and rather than take your sacrifice to your own personal rabbi, you instead use Yeshua as both your sacrifice and your atonement. Just as a rabbi would slaughter your ram and would gain atonement through Yahweh, so too does Yeshua sacrifice himself, and atone for your sins. IF the sacrifice, and the priest were so stressed throughout the Tanakh (the Old Testament), and the Messiah was supposed to offer himself as a sacrifice, and be a priest (Rabbi), what need then for an intermediary priest? In conclusion, why does the church not observe a Saturday Sabbath? Please do not answer: Sunday is the day in which Yeshua rose from the grave, because Yahweh stressed to keep the same Sabbath for eternity. Why does the church not keep biblical feasts? Do not answer because Jesus "fulfilled" the law because due to a mistranslation from Greek to Latin "fulfilled" which in its proper context means "abide by” has been understood as "completed". Also, even if Mosaic Law is not to be followed, which Yahweh stressed to always keep them, that doesn’t mean we should abandon the feasts we were told to keep forever.  Why should the modern church keep oral doctrine? Yeshua came to stress the unimportance of this. Please justify Easter, and Christmas. Please justify the practice of confession. Please if you do not mind, respond to my questions. Also, please do not be so quick to cite with the writings of Sha'ul in Romans to attempt to question my following of the Torah, because Sha'ul himself was a Torah observant Jew, and died a Torah observant Jew. Sha'ul's message in Romans is to convey that external tradition is nothing without internal tradition. Yeshua himself was Torah observant, if he was not, he literally could not be the messiah. Personally, I think it’s time to give up traditions like a Sunday Sabbath, are they wrong? YES. Does it affect salvation? No, I don’t think so, we’re all sinners, and Yeshua forgives us of all sins when we repent, not just the ones we know and or remember. I also think we need to give up the practice of confession; Yeshua is our rabbi, not Father McBroom from the church down the street. We should keep biblical feasts to honor Yahweh, which he told us to keep forever. And if the critics of this are quick to say that the Old Testament ended with Yeshua, I would answer “I didn’t know forever was 2,000 years.”  I think it’s time for Christianity to begin to return to its Hebraic roots. It’s quite frightening to see that the Church has transformed Yeshua from a rabbinical priestly figure to a superhero pop star. I’m not here to say that the church should be condemned for their actions; I’ll even go so far to say that the church isn’t seen as any worse in Yahweh’s eyes, because we all have sinned.  It’s not that I think that the church’s actions affect salvation, however it’s also true that smoking marijuana most likely won’t kill you, but is it really healthy? Of course not, but to achieve a healthy church, a healthy body of Mashiach, or should I say a healthy body of Christ, The church needs to know him.  The church needs to know his commands. The church needs to know its Hebraic roots. Thank you for reading this, Shalom.
